The role of specialist physician in internal medicine/geriatrics

In the role of specialist physician in internal medicine/geriatrics, you will have comprehensive clinical responsibility for patients with complex medical needs. You will work closely with other specialists to ensure a holistic approach to care, from diagnostics and treatment to rehabilitation and preventive measures.

The Department of Medicine and Geriatrics is the largest clinic at Värnamo Hospital, with many services under one roof. We have four inpatient care units with different specialties such as stroke, GAVA, endocrinology, and cardiology. The facilities are well-planned and state-of-the-art, and we work with the patient in focus. Here, you will work alongside both experienced colleagues and new staff, all with great commitment.

Feeling well and enjoying your job is valuable to us. Therefore, we have actively worked on the work environment within inpatient care for a couple of years, where we have assessed each staff group's competencies and the tasks each group should perform. Your profile

We are looking for someone who is a specialist in internal medicine and geriatrics.

As a person, you are empathetic, secure, and stable with a good ability to distinguish between the personal and professional. You are confident in your knowledge and skills, willing to make independent decisions, and take responsibility for your tasks. Since the work involves a lot of collaboration with other colleagues, we see that you have an easy time working well with others. Personal suitability is highly valued.

Our offer to you

We offer you a varied job at a smaller hospital where all expertise is close at hand. Here you will have favorable working hours, which means working Monday to Friday between 08:00 and 16:30. Regular on-call duty is included in the position.

The position is a permanent full-time position. Start date will be agreed upon based on what suits you.
